Vice President Leni Robredo on Tuesday said she tested negative for COVID-19, after going on self-isolation last week due to a "very close contact" with a confirmed patient.
On Facebook, Robredo shared how grateful she was for being "spared", given how her most recent exposure had been her closest.
"Got my negative RT-PCR test result already. I’ve been exposed so many times but the latest was my closest call to date. So thank God, really!! I was again spared," she said.
Robredo said the past week of being in quarantine flew by quickly as she spent her days engaging in work matters.
Despite testing negative, Robredo said she still had to complete her 14-day quarantine in compliance with government rules and until such time she will continue working from home.
"I’ve been raring to go back to the office because I have a gazillion things to do. But we are strictly following health protocols and that includes completing the 14-day quarantine despite the negative test. For the next 7 days, I will continue to be working from home," she said.
