St. Luke's Medical Center said Monday it has reached full capacity for COVID-19 cases in both its Taguig and Quezon City hospitals as the Philippines battles a surge in infections.
As of 11 a.m. Monday, St. Luke’s Medical Center said its COVID-19 wards and intensive care units in both hospital branches were full with patients.
Both hospitals however remain “in full service” for non-COVID-19 cases, it said.
The announcement came as a GCQ bubble took effect in the Greater Manila area to contain the surge. Since March 19, the Philippines has been reporting over 7,000 new COVID-19 infections daily.
The public has been advised to strictly observe minimum health standards as a precaution against the virus.
