(UPDATE) Mall operator SM said its Baguio branch opened on Friday an outdoor space called Sky Terrace, and it had Facebook users dreaming of a quarantine escape to the land of strawberries and peanut brittle.
Baguio is under the lowest quarantine classification, MGCQ. It's mayor, Benjamin Magalong, is also the country's tracing czar this pandemic. It is one of the few tourist cities that have begun to reopen to the public. From Sept. 22, it will be open to the entire Region 1 (Ilocos Region).

Sky Terrace looks like an elevated garden, much like similar structures in SM North EDSA and SM Aura Premier. The post on SM Baguio's Facebook has so far gotten nearly 4,000 reactions and 2,500 shares.
Restrictions on business and physical activity outdoors are getting looser because the risk of catching the virus is lower in open spaces. In Metro Manila, where movement is still limited, parks have begun to reopen for jogging, calisthenics and Zumba.
