Campaigning house-to-house in Manila, Vice President Leni Robredo's daughter, Tricia, said she got a "humbling reminder" that she could not convert everyone to elect her mother president, and that those people should not be considered enemies.
Robredo's campaign is hoping to capitalize on the momentum from campaign rallies that drew tens of thousands to the streets and the declaration of support from local politicians to cut rival Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos' lead, according to surveys.

Tricia, a medical doctor who also volunteers for the Vice President's COVID response team, has been campaigning on the ground alongside elder sister, Aika. At times, the Robredo sisters would come face-to-face with Marcos supporters wearing his campaign colors of red and green.
"Hindi maco-convert lahat pero lumalapit pa rin para bumati, lalo na dahil nakikidaan lang tayo sa lugar nila," Tricia captioned a photo of herself talking to a woman wearing a t-shirt with the portraits of Marcos and running mate Sara Duterte.
"Nung lumapit ako kay Nanay, she was pleasant and she even greeted back. Pahabol niya, 'hindi tayo ang nag-aaway'. Humbling reminder. I hope we all keep this in mind," she said.
Last week, Tricia was greeted by a Marcos "V" finger sign during a house-to-house campaign. That was when she reminded her mother's supporters to be patient and resist the urge to "barda" or go ballistic.
"Admittedly, nakakalungkot at nakakainis din. Lalo na dahil crossing the line na 'yung iba. Some of them have already made up their minds and it’s quite futile to engage. Pero marami rin ang nananatili pang bukas makinig. 'Wag sana natin silang sukuan," she said.
