The much-awaited "Friends" reunion started streaming in the Philippines on Thursday afternoon as netizens complain of having a hard time accessing the HBO Go app.
"Okay I thought I was alone," Myx VJ Ai dela Cruz tweeted, joining throngs of "Friends" fans who tweeted that HBO GO was inaccessible.
As of early Thursday afternoon, the top trending topic on Philippine Twitter was #FriendsReunion with more than 30,000 mentions in less than an hour, followed by HBO GO with more than 16,000 tweets.
Some of the comments were:
"The one where I subscribed to HBO Go just for #FriendsReunion"
"The One Where HBO GO Crashed Clown face #FriendsReunion"
"THE SITE IS NOT WORKING, DID WE JUST CRASH HBO GO?"
The show is a "real-life unscripted celebration" of the 90s cult sitcom, where Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow visited the group's New York apartments for the first time again after 17 years.
Returning for the reunion show are former cast members James Michael Tyler (who played Gunther), Tom Selleck (Monica's ex-love interest Richard Burke), Maggie Wheeler (Chandler's ex, Janice), and Christina Pickles (Ross and Monica's mother Judy).
