A family in Bacolod City is raising money for the treatment of a male labrador with a tumor to fulfill the dying wish of his dog parent.
Before he passed away last December, Joven delos Santos asked hi family to raise money for his labrador, Sean, who has a tumor. The family is now selling his National Geographic magazine collection.
In a Feb. 6 Facebook post, delos Santos' sister, Cristel Mar delos Santos uploaded photos of the magazines, which sell for P50 each to fund Sean's chemotherapy and operation.
"This was kuya's plan when he was still alive, to prioritize his dog's condition rather than the pain he was enduring," Cristel told SunStar Bacolod News.
The SunStar post has over 13,000 shares and 18,000 likes as of early Monday.
"Why not make a difference today by helping one member of our family, Sean. True owner passed away last December 2020. He is a kind and loving dog and can surely brighten your day, help us extend his purpose," Cristel posted on Facebook.
