(UPDATE) As the official campaign period for the 2022 elections begins, candidates are taking turns visiting provinces and areas in the country which can deliver the most number of votes.
While candidates convince voters to cast their votes for them come May 9, they also seek the support of the incumbent leaders of the areas they are visiting, hoping that this would broaden their political base and increase their chances of winning.
The Commission on Elections has released the updated voter registration figures for the 2022 elections, which also shows the most vote-rich provinces and areas whose votes are crucial in carrying a candidate to victory.
