The sequel to the hit 2018 Marvel film Black Panther is almost here, with its first official teaser taking the internet by storm just minutes after it dropped.

"Wakanda Forever" trended worldwide and has been tweeted over 171,000 times after its teaser trailer premiered at San Diego Comic-Con, with a subsequent release on Marvel Entertainment's YouTube channel.

Officially titled "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", it is the 30th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and features Letitia Wright as Shuri, Lupita Nyong'o as Nakia, and Angela Bassett as Ramonda, Queen Mother of Wakanda.

The first film received critical acclaim and was the first superhero film to be nominated for Best Picture in the Academy Awards.

The movie's original lead, Chadwick Boseman, who played T'Challa, died of colon cancer in 2020, prompting producers to change their plans for the sequel.

"Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" is set to premiere on Nov. 11, 2022. Watch the teaser trailer here:
