(UPDATE) Fire broke out at the ABS-CBN compound on Tuesday morning, halting broadcast for more than three hours while employees fled the building, ABS-CBN News said. No one was hurt in the incident.

Smoke was detected at the third floor of the main building around 7 a.m. after an electrical outlet at the Knowledge Channel office caught fire, ABS-CBN News said in a report.

Sprinklers went off which helped contained the fire, reporter Lyza Aquino said, citing the company's head of safety and events risk management department. By 10:30 a.m., live programs were back on air.

A desktop computer and unused computer servers were damaged in the fire, said Aquino.

ABS-CBN News anchor Jeff Canoy, who was hosting TeleRadyo's Sakto, apologized in a tweet as they cut short the morning show to evacuate after smoke alarms went off.
