The Cultural Center of the Philippines lit up red on Tuesday in solidarity with a worldwide campaign supporting live events that have been shut for months by the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to a report by Billboard, music venues in United States were also bathed in crimson light to push for the passage of the Restart Act, "which would provide much-needed assistance for millions of Americans who have lost income due to the pandemic."
The red light symbolizes the live events industry being "on red alert for its survival."
The National Live Events Coalition led the lighting in the country. It was formed in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
