Free MRT-3 Rides for APORs is Extended Until Sept. 7

To cover the extended MECQ period.

Vaccinated individuals can still ride the MRT-3 for free until Sept. 7, the Deparment of Transportation said Wednesday.

Those with a single dose and two full doses will be granted free rides. Only authorized persons outside fo residence or APORs will be allowed on the railway line during MECQ.

Commuters can avail free rides from 7 to 9 a.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m.

To get the ride for free, commuters must present the following:

  • vaccination card
  • any of the following:
    • Certificate of Employment one valid or government-issued ID
    • Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
    • company ID

Passengers are required to wear face masks and shields at all times and maintain social distance. Eating and talking on the phone or with fellow passengers are prohibited.
