Duterte Taps Gloria Arroyo as Adviser on Clark Projects
President Rodrigo Duterte has tapped his predecessor Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to become his adviser on projects in Clark City in the latter's bailiwick Pampanga, Malacañang said Thursday.
Arroyo was appointed as presidential adviser on Clark flagship programs and projects, Duterte's spokesperson Harry Roque said. She will receive an annual salary of P1.
Roque cited Arroyo's "wisdom and her vast experience as a former head of state and head of government" as reasons for her appointment.

Arroyo will "assist the administration in the planning and execution of programs and projects to turn Clark as the next premier metropolis of Asia," Roque said.
It was during Duterte's presidency that Arroyo made a political comeback as House Speaker, becoming the first woman to hold the post with the support of the President's daughter Sara Duterte-Carpio. Arroyo retired from politics last year.
