Adulting 101: How to Check Your PAG-IBIG Fund Contributions
One of the employment requirements in the Philippines is membership in the PAG-IBIG fund. It's part of the trifecta of government social welfare services, the other two being SSS and PhilHealth.
Membership in PAG-IBIG is useful as it serves as a savings vehicle that you could use for your retirement in the future, and for your family in cases of permanent disability or your death. PAG-IBIG also grants loans to allow ordinary Filipinos to own homes.
For those who are employed, PAG-IBIG contributions are auto-deducted from your monthly salaries at P100. Freelancers and self-employed individuals can pay their own contributions.
If you're wondering whether that P100 deducted monthly from your pay really goes into your PAG-IBIG fund, here's how you can check your contributions:
1. Virtual PAG-IBIG
The virtual PAG-IBIG is the online facility of PAG-IBIG where members can view their regular savings records, including the annual dividends it has earned.
Those who wish to register can do so here.
2. PAG-IBIG Hotline
You can inquire with PAG-IBIG fund through their call center hotline at (02) 8724-4244 for contribution-related queries from Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
3. E-mail inquiry
E-mail inquiries are also welcomed by PAG-IBIG at contactus@pagibigfund.gov.ph. When inquiring about your contributions, provide your full name, birth date, and record of employers.
4. Visit a PAG-IBIG branch
For those who need to speak with a PAG-IBIG staff, you can visit any PAG-IBIG branch to inquire about your contributions.
