Want to Work in Government? Check Out This Job Fair

Fresh graduates who are looking to enter the workforce can take advantage of the Government Online Career Fair 2022 from Sept. 19 to 23 where some 20,000 jobs in the bureaucracy are up for grabs.

The job fair, a joint project of JobStreet Philippines and the Civil Service Commission, aims to attract fresh graduates to join the government.

Top roles for fresh graduates include engineers, administrative officers, revenue officers, nurses, executive assistants, accountants, auditors, and IT officers.

Other available roles are guidance counselor, planning officer, and medical officer.

The career fair also aims to address the labor market challenges faced by the youth particularly Gen Zs who finished their studies during the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"While fresh graduates have the advantage of being more tech-savvy, stiff competition awaits fresh graduates once they enter the market," said JobStreet Philippines Head of Marketing Kim Viray.

Among the labor challenges faced by fresh graduates entering the workforce according to JobStreet Philippines are low earnings, limited employment prospects, and job search constraints.

"The youth needs to be supported in their journey to having access to job opportunities,” Viray added.
