Presidential candidate Leody de Guzman said Tuesday the Comelec should explain reports of irregularities during the May 9 elections as he conceded defeat.

The labor leader, who placed eighth in the unofficial tally based on the poll body's transparency server, said the votes he got showed how his campaign was an "uphill battle".

He asked Comelec to explain alleged irregularities on the ground during election day according to voters.

He also questioned the gap between presidential frontrunner Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Leni Robredo.
