GUIDE: How to Attend Marcos Inauguration at National Museum

Authorities on Tuesday urged attendees of President-elect Bongbong Marcos' inauguration to observe minimum health standards and bring transparent containers for their belongings to ensure order and safety during the event.

The Manila Police District released a list of prohibited at the National Museum during Marcos' inauguration on Thursday, as well as areas through which the public can access the venue.

According to the MPD, two pathways to the National Museum will be designated for the general public: Victoria Street, and Gen. Luna Street. These pathways will be opened on June 30 as early as 6 a.m. and will be closed at 9 a.m.

For those entering through Victoria Street, take LRT-1 and get off at Central Station. For those coming through Gen. Luna Street, enter from the Intramuros side.

Attendees are encouraged to walk to the venue, while those bringing their vehicles were advised to park in spaces away from the inaugural area.

The following items will be allowed at the venue:

  • Transparent/see-through bag or backpacks
  • Water in clear bottles or transparent containers
  • Umbrella and raincoats
  • Cellphones and cameras
  • Packed food or snacks
  • Trash bags

The following items will not be allowed at the venue:

  • Wearing of sando/slippers
  • Pointed objects and matches
  • Firearms and firearm replicas
  • Explosives
  • Alcoholic beverages
  • Balloons
  • Pet animals
  • Drones
  • Tents

The Manila Police District also advised attendees to observe proper waste disposal and maintain minimum public health standards such as wearing of face masks, observing physical distancing, and using of alcohol or sanitizers.
