ShopeePay to Charge Fee for Cash-Ins via E-Wallet

Online shoppers who use the ShopeePay feature of Shopee will be charged an admin fee for cash-ins via e-wallets starting Thursday, the e-commerce platform said.

Shopee, in a note on its app, said it would charge a 1% admin fee for cash-ins via digital wallets such as GCash and Coins.PH starting June 2.

Free cash-ins however are still available through shoppers' linked bank account and through bank apps with InstaPay.

ShopeePay, the digital wallet of Shopee, allows users to make cashless payments for online transactions within the app such as shopping, and bills payment. It can also be used for transactions with stores that accept payment via ShopeePay.

Here's how to cash in your ShopeePay with e-wallet:

1. Go to ShopeePay Wallet

2. Select 'Cash In'

3. Enter the amount you wish to cash in

4. Select e-wallet

5. Chose the payment center/e-wallet

6. Confirm
