The Department of Health on Friday released the list of medical conditions that would qualify people for a third dose vaccine under third priority or A3.

The third jabs have so far been given to health frontliners while senior citizens (A2) and persons with comorbidities (A3) next in line. For health workers, they're technically called boosters, while for A2 and A3, they're called third dose vaccines.

"Gagawin lang po namin 'yung guidelines and we will be announcing through our National Vaccine Operations Cluster kung kailan po mag-uumpisa ang pagbabakuna ng booster or third doses para sa ating mga nakakatanda o A2 and those individuals with immunocompromised states," Health Usec. Maria Rosario Vergeire said.

Individuals with these conditions are eligible for third vaccine dose:

  • Autoimmune disease
  • HIV
  • Cancer/Malignancy
  • Transplant patients
  • Undergoing steroid treatment
  • Patients with poor prognosis/ bed-ridden patients

So far, only medical workers (A1 priority) are allowed to get their booster shots
