Voter registration activities have been suspended in areas under ECQ and MECQ since the two strictest community quarantine classifications were reimposed in August. Metro Manila and other high risk areas will remain under MECQ until Sept. 7.

To accommodate more applications ahead of the 2022 elections, Comelec on Aug. 23 implemented extended voter registration hours.

The commission also allowed online reactivation of voter status for those who have complete biometrics in the local Comelec office where their application was filed.

The deadline for voter registration stays on Sept. 30.
