The century-old College of the Holy Spirit Manila said it was closing at the end of the 2021-2022 academic year.
While it did not specifically mention the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, recent enrollment figures showed that students have shifted to the public education system from private schools as parents cope with challening economic times.
The 2022 closure timeline will give the school time to graduate its Grade 11 and 3rd year college students, it said in the statement.
