The 2022 Bar Examinations will revert to the traditional four-day schedule and will cover the usual core subjects, the Supreme Court said Thursday, as COVID-19 restrictions are eased.

While there is no specific schedule yet, this year's Bar Exams will be taken on four non-consecutive days, but within a two-week period, Supreme Court Associate Justice Benjamin Caguioa, the 2022 Bar Examinations chair, said in a bulletin.

"True to the Court’s continuing efforts to undertake crucial Bar reforms, the coverages for the bar subjects have been streamlined to revolve only around central legal concepts, their schedules have been rearranged and their grade weights have been reapportioned accordingly," he said.

The Supreme Court is reverting to the traditional schedule and coverage of the Bar Exams after it shortened the 2020/21 Bar Exams to two days and reduced its coverage considering the COVID-19 surge at that time.

"In its efforts to return to a necessary normalcy, and rising from the strength of crucial reforms undertaken alongside the integration of safety measures in the face of the currently inescapable pandemic, the Court hopes that the 2022 Bar Examinations continues to fold back into its distinguished degree of rigor," Caguioa said.
