State prosecutors ordered on Wednesday the release of three detained persons linked to the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera who was found lifeless in a hotel room on New Year's Day.
The Makati Prosecutor's Office returned the case to the police for "further investigation."
The case is set for preliminary investigation on Jan. 13. Preliminary Investigation is a procedure to determine whether the police complaint has probable cause in which case it will be filed in court.

Dacera, 23, was found dead in the bathtub of her Makati City hotel room on New Year's Day. Late Monday, the Philippine National Police declared the case "solved" with the arrest of the three suspects.
Police said they filed a complaint of rape with homicide against the three.
Nine other people who were with Dacera the night before she was found dead were earlier identified by the police as "at large."
Dacera's case has sparked public uproar and reignited debates on women, rape, and drinking.
