Where Can Women Report Domestic Abuse in the Philippines?

There's a way out.

The long-running quarantines around the world have made women more vulnerable to violence as millions are forced to stay at home. 

In one of the Philippines most densely populated urban centers, Quezon City, weekly domestic abuse complaints doubled to 12 from just five before the quarantine, officials said.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women (Nov. 25), women's advocates underscored the need to raise awareness on gender-based violence. The United Nations' women empowerment arm has launched their annual Generation Equality campaign called "Orange the World: Fund, Respond, Prevent, Collect!"

Here in the Philippines, the UP Center of Women Studies launched its 18-day campaign to End Violence Against Women and Gender-Based Violence.
