Shuttered broadcast network ABS-CBN is set to gain a bigger audience on free television with TV5 set to air its longtime running Sunday noontime show ASAP.
Starting Sunday, Jan. 24, viewers can watch ASAP Natin 'To on TV5 too, ABS-CBN said in a statement Thursday. The 25-year-old variety show can still be watched on the Kapamilya Channel, A2Z, TFC, iWant TFC, and Kapamilya Online Live.
Aside from ASAP, the Kapatid network will also air "FPJ: Da King," a movie block showcasing films of the late actor Fernando Poe Jr. on Sundays.
"The airing of ASAP and FPJ's movies on TV5 showcases the desires of TV5 and ABS-CBN to serve our viewers in the best way possible," Cignal and TV president Robert Galang said.

The announcement comes after TV5 pulled the plug on its weekend variety show--Sunday Noontime Live (SNL)-- which featured ABS-CBN talents but was produced by Brightlight Productions after just three months on the air.

ABS-CBN lost its franchise bid in July last year, forcing it to lay off many of its workers in the middle of the pandemic.
It returned to free TV on A2Z channel 11 via a deal with the Zoe Broadcasting Network led by Bro. Eddie Villanueva in early October 2020 and made the Kapamilya Channel available on Cignal’s channel 22 later the same month.
