Ateneo's College Entrance Test Returns After 2 Years

Ateneo de Manila said Tuesday it would again require applicants to take its college entrance test, which was sidelined for two years because of the pandemic.

Since 2020, Ateno screened freshman applicants based on academic and non-academic performance in high school in place of the test called ACET or Ateneo College Entrance Test.

The 2022 ACET will be a "refreshed version" that would better assess applicants, the university added.

Ateneo also cautioned against individuals or entities claiming they were authorized by the university to conduct review sessions for the exams.

"The University reserves its rights to address false claims of authorization to conduct such reviews and unauthorized use of 'Ateneo' and related terms," it said.
