United States President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping were the first world leaders to congratulate Marcos Jr. on his election victory.
The only son and namesake of the late dictator, Marcos Jr. made history in the May 9 election as the first majority president since the 1986 People Power Revolution that ousted his father.
Marcos Jr. won Monday's election with an overwhelming 31 million votes. His running mate Sara Duterte-Carpio also won the vice presidency.
