Baguio City will require all residents and visitors to wear face shields over face masks at all times outside the house, in step with a new national policy aimed at preventing a spike in COVID-19 cases during the holidays, its public information office said Wednesday.
MORE ON FACE SHIELDS:
This comes after the country's inter-agency task force leading the fight against the virus made the face mask and face shield combo mandatory at all times. Previously, it was only required in commercial establishments and public transportation.
Individuals may lift or temporarily set aside their face shields when absolutely necessary, but must practice strict social distancing measures and minimize contact when doing so.
