Popular surfing destination Baler has dropped the RT-PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated tourists in favor of vaccination certificates, authorities said.
Partially vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals can still visit the province provided that they present negative COVID-19 test results, according to the Provincial Government of Aurora
Travelers headed for the Alert Level 2 area are required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and disinfect frequently. Wearing of face shields is subject to rules at accommodation and lifestyle establishments.

Here are the travel requirements for Baler, Aurora:
- S-Pass approved tour application or QR code issued by the LGU of destination
Valid ID - Vaccination certificate or COVID-19 test
- For vaccinated individuals: certificate from VaxCert via Department of Health
- For partially vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals: negative RT-PCR test result taken within the last 72 hours
- Booking confirmation at a DOT-accredited accommodation establishment
Kids aged 12 years old and below must be accompanied by the parent or guardian at all times and are required to present an updated medical certificate from a doctor in place of a vaccination certificate.
