Barangay Mauway In Mandaluyong to be Placed Under Total Lockdown from May 11 to 13

In response to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, the Mandaluyong City Public Information Office has announced that Barangay Mauway will be placed under total lockdown from May 11 to 13, 2020. Total lockdown will begin at 12 a.m. on Monday, May 11, and will end at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, as dictated in Executive Order No. 16.

According to the Executive Order:

  • Residents will not be permitted to leave their homes, except in cases of emergency
  • All establishments will remain closed during the total lockdown
  • Unauthorized vehicles will not be allowed to enter or leave the barangay
  • Those exempted from the total lockdown include frontliners and workers authorized by IATF rules, such as essential service personnel (banks, groceries, pharmacies, etc.)
  • Residents can still have water and LPGs delivered from outside the barangay
  • Food packs will be distributed to each household prior to total lockdown
  • The City Health Office will conduct rapid testing to screen all barangay residents

As of 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, Mandaluyong City has recorded a total of 466 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There have been 37 deaths, and 129 patients have recovered.
