The remote Batanes islands said Wednesday it regained its COVID-free status after stopping community transmissions of the virus, attributing the feat to strict quarantine protocols.
Located on the country's northern tip and accessible largely by plane, Batanes said it recorded a total of 10 COVID cases since the start of the pandemic.
