The city of Batangas said it was temporarily closing resorts and accommodation establishments in its locality as a precautionary measure against the spread of COVID-19.

The closure began Thursday, March 18, the city government said in an announcement. It did not mention until when the suspension is effective.

Resorts and accommodation establishments were told to get the necessary permits from the Department of Tourism.
