Bayad Center Seeks to Widen Online, App Footprint Under New Normal

The payment platform also plans to add 200 branches.

With the COVID-19 pandemic making it hard for Filipinos to physically pay their bills, CIS Bayad Center, Inc said it would strengthen its online bills payment and mobile application.

The move is in line with the global thrust toward digitalization and the changing needs of Filipino consumers, the company said.

Improving its application programming interface platform will allow Bayad Center to add to the list of billers and streamline the payment system. The multi-channel payment platform accommodates more than 10,000 daily transactions through 39,000 local touchpoints.

Bayad Center, which recently introduced its new president and chief executive officer Lawrence Ferrer, is set to break ground on over 200 sites for franchisees and local corporate partners.

"Under the new management of Mr. Ferrer, Bayad Center remains committed to making payments readily available for every Filipino anytime and anywhere. We are focused on strengthening both our onsite and online platform so our customers can enjoy greater accessibility, wider options, and seamless experience."
