BDO Unibank has launched mobile wallet app BDO Pay which digitizes transactions, allowing clients to send and receive money from the safety of their own homes during the pandemic.
The app services individuals with BDO savings accounts, checking accounts, and principal cardholders. Users are allowed to use the app on up to five different devices, said the Sy-led bank, the Philippines' largest.

Here's what you can do on the BDO Pay app:
Send money
Skip the long account numbers and send money by accessing your list of contacts. You can also send money by typing in the recipient's mobile number.
Pay bills
The app is equipped with billers and payment only takes a few taps.
Scan to pay
Contactless transactions are made possible in-store through QR codes.
Split the bill
Users are allowed to divide group bill with up to five other people and request money in just one tap.
Request money
Find it awkward to message friends asking them to pay debt? The BDO Pay app reminds family and friends to pay back and allows them to send money in a snap.
How do you sign up for BDO Pay?
First, you need to have a BDO Digital Banking account. Here's how to sign up for the BDO Pay app.
- Download BDO Pay for free on Google Play Store, App Store, or Huawei AppGallery.
- Open BDO Pay and sign up with your BDO Digital Banking username and password.
- If you have multiple BDO accounts, you can choose which ones to link. Select your default account.
- Enter a 6-digit PIN or use your device biometrics to log in and confirm transactions.
What if I don't have BDO Digital Banking yet?
You can sign up for digital banking on the BDO website. Click "Online Banking Login", then "Not Yet Enrolled? Enroll Now!"
