President-elect Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. greeted Vice President-elect Sara Duterte-Carpio on her 44th birthday Tuesday, calling her the "best running mate".
Marcos Jr. called Duterte-Carpio his "BFF" as well which commonly means "best friend forever". The two mounted a successful election campaign under the 'UniTeam' tandem that won them the presidency and vice presidency by a landslide.
"Happy Birthday Vice President! Cheers to the best running mate and BFF anyone could wish for!" Marcos Jr. said in a Facebook post.

President Rodrigo Duterte also wished Duterte-Carpio "success" in her new role as vice president, Malacañang said Tuesday.
Duterte-Carpio thanked those who greeted her and called for love for her looming leadership of the Department of Education.
"Salamat po sa mga greetings! Mahal ko kayo! Mahalin natin ang DepEd! Mahalin natin ang Pilipinas!" Duterte-Carpio said.
