Veteran broadcaster Ted Failon said Tuesday he tested positive for COVID-19 and is asymptomatic.
Failon said he was tested on Monday, March 29 after a coworker who was positive for COVID-19 at the Radyo5 station identified him as a close contact.
“I am symptomatic and I will follow the advice to self-isolate and be placed on home quarantine. All my close contacts have been informed of my situation for their appropriate action," he said.
The broadcaster transferred to the TV5 network following the non-renewal of ABS-CBN's franchise.
Failon said he would continue working from his home and reminded the public to “be extra cautious” in light of the surge in COVID-19 cases.
