Social media will play a big part in celebrating the 41st Lanzones Festival in Camiguin under the new normal. With mass gathering still prohibited during pandemic, the provincial government is going virtual using TikTok and video blogging, said Governor Jurdin Jesus Romualdo.

A slate of online activities, including photo and poster design contests, will highlight Camiguin's annual thanksgiving celebration of its bountiful harvest of the tropical fruit from Oct. 18 to 21.

TikTok users can join as solo, duo, or family, and work with the theme, "Celebrating Lanzones Festival at Home." Entries can be in the form of dancing, singing, comical skit/parody or mixed, with a lanzones element as the only requirement.

Winners of the solo, duo, and family categories can take home up to P3,500, P6,000, and P7,500, respectively.

Participating vloggers can produce video content aligned with the "Camiguin: Discover More" theme. They are allowed to repurpose clips shot before the COVID-19 restrictions were put in place.
