The Commission on Elections said Monday it would launch a mobile application for voter registration on June 15, as it sought to reach its target of four million new voters for the 2022 elections.

Instead of printing out forms or getting the form at Comelec registration sites, registrants with smartphones can download the mobile form here (bit.ly/MobileFormApp). Users may apply for voter registration even without internet connection, Commissioner Marlon Casquejo said.

A QR code will be generated after accomplishing the form. Applicants must save it on mobile and bring it to the nearest Comelec registration site to have it scanned and your biometrics taken.

Among those who can apply via app are:

  • New applicants
  • For transfer
  • For Reactivation
  • For Change of name or needs correction of entries

The Mobile Registration Form App is free. Android users may share it via SHAREit or other file-sharing application.

As of June 5, Comelec said about 59 million applicants have successfully registered for the 2022 national elections, just two million shy of their target. Applicants have until September 30 to register so they could vote in May 2022.
