The Commission on Elections said Saturday it would resume on May 10, the issuance of voter's certifications at its main office in Intramuros, Manila.

A voter's certification serves as a valid identification of a Filipino voter and can be presented as valid ID in all government agencies or private offices.

Registered voters may apply for a voter's certification from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Comelec's National Central File Division (NCFD) satellite office, located at the back of Chowking in FEMII Building, Extension Cabildo Street cor. A. Soriano Avenue, Intramuros, Manila.

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez said applications for the issuance of voter's certification are by appointment only.

"Together with our 'no-face mask, no-face shield, no entry-policy,' this will ensure that we are protecting the safety of the public, even while NCR Plus remains under Modified Community Quarantine," he said.
