Globe, Converge: Internet Service Unaffected by Cable Maintenance

After rival PLDT gave its subscribers a heads up.

Converge ICT Solutions and Globe Telecom assured subscribers on Friday that services and speeds will remain unaffected by emergency maintenance on a major submarine cable that is being used by rival PLDT Inc.

The two telcos uploaded advisories on their Facebook pages telling users that the scheduled maintenance on Sept. 25 to 30 on the Asia-America Gateway communications cable system will not impact their services and connections.

Converge

"We will continue to deliver connectivity as we have sufficient international capacity on multiple submarine cable systems, linking to Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the USA," Converge said in a statement.
