Companions of flight attendant Christine Dacera have filed charges against her mother, Makati police officers, and several others for linking them to the 23-year-old's death.

Lawyer Mike Santiago, representing Rommel Galido, John Paul Dela Serna III, Gregorio De Guzman, Clark Rapinan, and Valentine Rosales, confirmed Thursday the filing of charges against Dacera's mother Sharon, several Makati police officers, and three other individuals.

Complaints of perjury, slander, libel, and cyber libel among others were filed against Sharon Dacera, and their family lawyer Brick Reyes following what Santiago described as "stress" that his clients have been enduring since the start of the year.

“We have been withholding the filing of these cases because of the danger to the security of our clients as well as their health concerns. Some of them have already become very sickly nowadays because of the stress that they have been enduring all this time since Jan. 1,” Santiago told reporters Wednesday in an interview.

Also charged were Marichi Ramos Fong and Katherine Anne Dacera-Facelo.

Dacera's companions are facing possible charges, as recommended by the National Bureau of Investigation, for obstruction of justice, reckless imprudence resulting in homicide, perjury, falsification of an official document by a public officer, and administering illegal drugs over the flight attendant's death.

Dacera was found dead in the bathtub of a hotel room she shared with her friends on Jan. 1, after a night of partying where her parents claimed that she was drugged. Her companions however denied harming her as well as the presence of illegal drugs in the party.
