DOTr Extends Free Rides for Vaccinated APORs Until Sept. 15

Bring your IDs and vaccine cards.

Vaccinated passengers can still avail free train rides at select hours during the extended MECQ period in Metro Manila, the transportation department said Wednesday.

Only authorized persons outside of residence or APORs will be allowed to ride the MRT-3, LRT-2 and PNR and skip the fare.

Here's when you can ride Metro Manila's trains for free:

MRT-3

  • 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  • 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

LRT-2

  • 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

PNR

  • 4 a.m. to 6 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • 7 p.m. onwards

Vaccinated APORs who have received either their first or second dose of vaccine must present their vaccination card and certificate of APOR status such as company ID or government ID to avail the free ride.
