President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday administered the oath of office to new House Speaker Lord Allan Velasco.
Velasco, the representative of Marinduque, took his oath of office in Malacañang as seen in photos released by the Palace.

The lawmaker took over leadership of the House in October following a power struggle with his predecessor, Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano.
Velasco succeeded in enforcing his term-sharing deal with Cayetano that was brokered by Duterte in 2019.
