(UPDATE) President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday checked on damage wrought by massive floods in the Cagayan region, after residents there took to social media seeking rescue and aid.
The President surveyed the devastation from a helicopter based on photos released by Sen. Bong Go, who was with him.
"My solidarity and condolence go out to my fellow Filipinos in Cagayan Valley," Duterte said. After his speech in Tuguegarao, he proceeded to Pili, Camarines Sur.
"Kailangan, move faster kasi kailangan ng tao," Duterte said in Pili.
On Saturday, Duterte told the storm survivors that help was on the way and that a task force was formed to ensre speedy rescue and relief delivery.

"Yung tulong will be coming," Duterte said Saturday. "Binibigyan ko sila ng timeline na gumawa ng mga hakbang na yan na, walang delay at i-cut yung red tape para mabilis ang takbo ng tulong sa tao."
"Kaya natin ito," the President said. "Ilang pahirap na ng panahon, babangon din tayo. Mahirap pero... ang Pilipino, alam niyang tumindig muli."
