President Rodrigo Duterte said Monday there would be no more ceasefires with communist New People's Army until the end of his term in 2022.

Duterte said he would soon name "all" of the communist rebels, calling them "criminals."

"There will be no ceasefire ever again under my term pagka-presidente. For all intents and purposes, yung ceasefire is dead," Duterte said.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines and the New Peoples' Army--the armed wing of the communist movement--sometimes observe a ceasefire for the holidays.

"All communists are bad because all of you are conspiring to overthrow the Republic of the Philippines," Duterte said.
