UPDATE: The closure of the General Malvar and Bagong Barrio U-turn slot along EDSA has been postponed to Jan. 4, the MMDA said Thursday.
The EDSA U-turn slot near General Malvar and Bagong Barrio in Caloocan City will be closed starting Dec. 7 to make way for faster trips along the EDSA Carousel Bus Routes.

Motorists were advised to pass through the alternate routes at Monumento Circle.
Authorities are looking to close 13 U-turn slots along EDSA. Of that number, 6 have been closed with the rest to be closed before the year ends, said MMDA Spokesperon Celine Pialago.
The MMDA is looking to reopen two U-turn slots to ease holiday traffic, although no final decision has been made yet, she said.
