Malacañang said Friday it expanded its list of authorized persons outside of their residences or APORs to accommodate individuals needed for the 2022 elections.
All officials and employees of the Commission on Elections shall be considered as APORs, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said ahead of the filing of certificates of candidacy on Oct. 1.
The following will also be considered as APORs during the filing of candidacies as approved by the government's Inter-Agency Task Force on COVID-19 response:
1. Chairperson/president, or in their absence, the secretary-general or authorized representative of the political party, sectoral party, organization or coalition under the party-list system
2. Aspirants or their authorized representatives; companions as authorized by Comelec
3. Comelec officials/personnel in connection with the submission of hard copies of the Certificates of Candidacy and related documents/materials to the Comelec Main Office.
The Comelec has set the filing of COCs for Oct. 1 to 8 and earlier announced that it would only allow one person to accompany each aspirant during the filing to avoid crowding.
