GCash on Wednesday warned users of fake texts with links that compromise the funds in their mobile wallets.

Scam texts contain messages saying users must validate their transaction by clicking a link that could grant access to accounts. GCash said it does not send texts to validate transactions.

"If you need to double check your recent transactions, you can view them on the GCash app through your transaction history," GCash advised.

Users are discouraged from clicking on any links to keep their account safe.
