Next EDSA U-Turn Closure Postponed to Jan. 4

The U-turn slot was initially scheduled to close next week.

The planned closure of the the General Malvar/Bagong Barrio U-turn slot along EDSA was postponed to Jan. 4, the MMDA said late Thursday.

In a previous advisory, the MMDA announced the U-turn slot would be closed starting Dec. 7, but has since been moved to next year. This was part of the agency's efforts to improve traffic for the EDSA Busway.

Motorists were informed of the change in schedule via a Facebook post.

According to MMDA Spokesperson Celine Pialago, a total of six EDSA U-turns have been closed since quarantines began.
