Founders of advertising agency GIGIL behind the viral RC Cola ads made it to Adweek’s Creative 100, the first time Filipinos made the brand marketing publication’s list.

GIGIL founding partners Badong Abesamis and Herbert Hernandez represented Asia Pacific in Social Media Week, a worldwide virtual event for key people in the social media marketing industry.

GIGIL is best known for its jarring RC Cola ads, which have spawned several sequels and similarly bizarre promotional materials for brands like Orocan and Julie’s Bakeshop.

Netflix original animated series Trese also got the GIGIL treatment which spanned billboards and viral CCTV videos.
