Globe Data is Back From Afternoon Outage

Telco says sorry for the disruption.

(UPDATE) Globe Telecom said wireless data services were down Wednesday afternoon, leaving many customers without connectivity while working from home.

Globe apologized for the outage and said services were restored at around 4 p.m. It said customers were having difficulties accessing wireless data via Globe Postpaid, Prepaid, Platinum, TM, and Globe At Home Prepaid WiFi at around 1:45 p.m.

Globe was the number one trending topic on Twitter at the height of the outage, with some netizens asking why they can't use their data.

Outage monitoring website Down Detector also received 1,328 reports as of 3:34 p.m.

"Globe customers are advised to periodically restart their phones and modems to access wireless data services," it said.
